I am writing this in response to a prompt put out by Scott here.
Why would I choose the day of the week with the most letters? Well, Wednesdays have a few options in my week.
Either I can go to my usual exercise class at the Y, or go with my daughter into a larger nearby town for some errands.
Decision time. Usually I'll go to the Y, but sometimes she needs my help with the baby, or I need to take care of an errand or two.
NIA is the name of the exercise class. It is a combination of dance, therapeutic healing arts, and martial arts. It can be as gentle or as demanding as I want it to be. I always feel better afterwards.
Errands occasionally win out, as we don't have some of the stores I want in our smaller town. It may be a significant price savings on certain items or a larger selection to choose from. If we can, we do those runs at another time, but if we need something and the car is going in to town anyway, then that is the time to make it happen.
Skype call with a few church ladies may happen in the early afternoon. If I get back in time, and if they are online, we get together to pray and read a portion of ministry, and just to connect and offer mutual support. I hate to miss that time, but often do.
Dinner on Wednesdays may be a challenge when we're gone much of the day. Sometimes hubby will make a tasty soup. That's especially nice while the weather is cooler (like now).
Animals still need care, of course. We aren't doing much milking just now as most of the goats are bred. We're just getting around two cups or so a day from the one goat (who was bred later in the season). My daughter is doing most of the milking, so I usually get things ready, measuring out the soaked grains for them, then mixing in their mineral supplement. And hubby does a lot to take care of the birds through the day. When they see him come out, they seem to all converge on him, asking for a fresh scoop of feed.
Yet life continues to change. Some of the goats may kid in the next few weeks, which will mean extra care, and more milking not long after that. And we are looking at a major move in just a couple of months, Then there'll be garden beds to get in, etc. So I assume my Wednesdays will take on a different aspect before long. We try to be thankful for each day, and appreciate whatever it may bring.
